What trips many providers up isn't the standard itself, but the evidence base behind it: data and narrative that are scattered across departments, inconsistent in definition, or assembled only when a monitoring request lands.
A stronger approach treats B3 evidence as a continuous, owned process rather than a periodic scramble. That typically means: agreeing consistent metrics and definitions across faculties, assigning clear ownership for each strand of evidence, and reviewing the evidence base on a standing cycle — not only when OfS asks.
For degree apprenticeship provision specifically, the evidence base needs to bring together academic outcomes, employer engagement and end-point assessment performance into one coherent narrative, since these are often owned by different teams.
